Kevelt, which is based at the Technopol technology park in Tallin, makes own brand dermatological drugs and provides contract manufacturing services for liquid and semisolid preparations for clinical trials. Kevelt's main activity is producing of pharmaceuticals. The Company produces steril pharmaceuticals that contain prostaglandins, pure biochemicals for scientific purposes – Eicosanoids and cryopreparations.Manufacturing of pharmaceuticals takes place according to regulations of EU and GMP. In 1996 manufacturing of pharmaceuticals was started with producing of Prostenoon Gel 1mg. It was the first pharmaceutical in Estonia produced in aseptic conditions. Hereafter preparations as Prostenoon Gel 2mg for inducing of labor, Vasostenoon 20µg/ml for peripheral cardiovascular treatment, Prostenoon inj. 1mg/ml for preparing of labor and Glaumax 50µg/ml for lowering the elevated intraocular pressure were added. In addition, we produce biological preparations Lariphan (induction coil of interferon, treatment of viral diseases, Marketing Authorisation Holder SIA "Vitesan") and Rigvir (treatment of melanoma, Marketing Authorisation Holder SIA "Latima"). Since 1 of January 2008 GLAUMAX - pharmaceutical for glaucoma - is in the list of recompensable pharmaceuticals.
