Almirall Sofotec has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of inhalation formulation and device technologies. In 2001, Sofotec GmbH & Co. KG was founded as a spin-off of Degussa AG, and as such took over its know-how and intellectual property rights on inhalation products. Prior to Sofotec's acquisition by Almirall in 2006, Sofotec was part of Viatris.
