The Company’s principal focus is the treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids, which are noncancerous, or benign, hypervascular tumors growing within or on the wall of the uterus, using a procedure called uterine fibroid embolization, or UFE. UFE is a minimally invasive procedure in which microspheres are injected through a microcatheter into the blood vessels that supply the uterus.
