DPT Laboratories Ltd.
DPT is a contract development and manufacturing organization specializing in semi-solid and liquid dosage forms. Recognized globally for technical expertise and virtually unlimited manufacturing capabilities, DPT is the industry source for fully integrated drug development and manufacturing solutions. DPT Laboratories began in 1938 as Texas Pharmacal Company. Supporting the new medical specialty of dermatology, Texas Pharmacal specialized in products for diseases of the skin including LUBRIDERM® Lotion and the first total block sunscreen. In 1966, Texas Pharmacal was acquired by Warner-Lambert. In 1979, Alcon Laboratories acquired Texas Pharmacal from Warner-Lambert, primarily as a manufacturing site for Alcon’s Galderma division. Alcon retained several Texas Pharmacal products including CETAPHIL® Gentle Skin Cleanser. Texas Pharmacal was then renamed Dermatological Products of Texas. In 1990, DPT's current owner, DFB Pharmaceuticals acquired Dermatological Products of Texas from Alcon and changed the name to DPT Laboratories, Ltd.
