DelRx, a smaller operation based in a modest white house in Jamesburg, is taking a different approach to the alternative method of delivering insulin. They are using spray technology and telling patients to only spray inside their mouths and hold their breaths. They are trying to get nothing down into the lungs. DelRx's spray would coat the inside of the patient's mouth and be absorbed by the mucus membranes. The spray has been under development for the past two years.
