Nanohale AG is a Germany-based developer of nanoparticle-based carrier systems for pharmaceutical formulations. The nano-carrier utilizes the tendencies of a certain biodegradable polymers, which are naturally eliminated by the body, to form complexes. The production of those nanostructures occurs through the spontaneous formation of complexes between the negatively charged active substances and the positively charged polymer. The Company's product is under development in the pre-clinical study phase. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had a 50% stake in NANOHALE (Switzerland) AG. On October 10, 2011, the Company founded subsidiary RusNanohale in Russia. On December 31, 2011, the Company acquired the Research and Development organization, as well as Service and Production division from Scil Technology GmbH and transfered the employees and assets to its Formycon GmbH.
